News and Stuff
Well another year has gone, wow! we have been pretty busy since my last news in August, forgive me, for not updating sooner. In September we learnt a great dance, "Speak With Your Heart' I think this one will be around for a while, in October, It was 'You & I' and 'Hard To Find, what a fun dance we have made of 'Hard To Find' lol. We did our usual demos at the nursing homes, thankyou to all of you who come along, I am sure the oldies really appreciate your effort. Cup Day went very well with our BBQ at the Scout Hall. There have been quite a few birthdays, in the last couple of months, Penny, Pamy, Sandi, Norma, Pat, Arfa, Eunice, Jenny, Carol, June, Lois, Lorraine, and although it hasn't been yet, Happy Birthday Anne, for December 27th. In December we went to Joan & June's Xmas social, where Joan announced her retirement from teaching, I hope I can make it that long, well done Joan, enjoy the rest. We also went to Poowong for their Xmas social, and dinner at the Pub, this is always a great day, if you haven't been before, try and make at least one next year. Roz & Julie do a super job. Our Christmas Social was a great success, we had 54 people there, which doesn't happen often, the last time we had 50, was for our 14th Birthday, this year, so I am really pleased that our special nights are well attended, Thankyou to all of you. I wish you all a very Merry Xmas and a great New year, and look forward to seeing you back at classes for another year of fun & friendship. xxx |
